The purpose of the Master of Science (M.Sc) in Sustainable Finance and Accounting is to establish and develop a reliable postgraduate program that will further promote the central “core” of our Department’s founding philosophy, which is the science of finance and accounting.
This MSc is modularly structured to synthesize these two scientific directions, while also offering the possibility of significant specialization and deepening in one of them, highlighting the special abilities of the trainees and differentiating their professional profile. In this way, it responds effectively to contemporary economic and social trends and challenges that increasingly require a creative synthesis of financial and accounting knowledge at both theoretical and practical levels. In addition, the MSc aims to train specialized executives from the public and private sectors in modern issues of green and sustainable (environmental and social) accounting, sustainable finance, and corporate governance. The MSc aims to integrate social and environmental considerations into accounting and finance, and to incorporate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors into investment decision-making.
