The quality policy of the Department of Accounting and Finance is fully harmonized with the quality policy of the University of the Peloponnese which aims to enhance the prestige and international recognition of all the Institution’s degrees, to enhance the quality of academic activities, to increase the satisfaction and trust of labor and society in knowledge,  the abilities and skills of the Institution’s graduates, the enhancement of the quality and quantity of the Institution’s research activities and the strengthening of the culture of quality within the Institution.

In addition, the Department, through its quality policy, aims to continuously improve the quality of undergraduate and postgraduate study programs and the educational process and seeks to develop a creative environment of research and free scientific expression for all staff and members of its academic community.

The Department recognizes Quality as the main means for achieving a high level of education and research activity. The development of the culture of Quality Assurance in all members of the Department is the cornerstone to achieve this goal.

The Department is committed to:

• to serve its educational and research goals and to operate within the framework of scientific ethics, accountability, equal opportunities and social acceptance.
• for the implementation of a Quality Policy, which will support the academic physiognomy and the quality of the Undergraduate and Postgraduate study programs and will promote the goals it has set.

The Department is committed to the implementation of this quality policy, implementing the quality procedures provided by the ESDP of the University of the Peloponnese, with the ultimate goal of their continuous improvement through evaluation and redesign procedures of Undergraduate and Postgraduate study programs.

For the “MSc in Sustainable Finance and Accounting“, the Department has formulated and implements an integrated quality policy that supports the academic physiognomy and orientation of the MSc, promotes its purpose and scope, monitors quality objectives and implements internal and external quality assessment procedures in order to continuously improve the educational work provided.

In particular, through the quality policy of the Department for the Postgraduate Program, it promotes:

• the organization of the internal Quality Assurance system, within the framework set by the Quality Assurance Unit of the University of the Peloponnese,
• the consolidation of a sense of responsibility among the members of the teaching, administrative and other staff and the students of the Postgraduate Program, as well as the role that corresponds to them in Quality Assurance,
• the dedication to the educational process and the progress of science based on the needs of students, their future professional rehabilitation and the needs of society in general,
• the promotion of student-centered learning,
• the achievement of the learning outcomes of the Postgraduate Program in accordance with the European and National Qualifications Framework for Higher Education,
• safeguarding academic principles, scientific ethics and equal opportunities in learning;
• ensuring the quality of the curriculum and shaping it based on international academic standards and in particular with the HAHE standard,
• the quality of support services (administrative services, libraries, student welfare services) offered to postgraduate students,
• the extroversion and publication of information of the Postgraduate Program,
• the rational allocation and management of the necessary resources for the operation and development of the Postgraduate Program,
• the selection of teaching staff, especially external collaborators, with qualifications suitable for the education of postgraduate students,
• the strengthening of human resources, for the effective coverage of the educational needs of the Postgraduate Program, as well as their support in their work.

In order to ensure Quality, the Department of Accounting and Finance implements a Quality Target Set for the Postgraduate Program in order to improve and develop the Postgraduate Program. The Quality Goal Setting of the Postgraduate Program is subject to annual evaluation, revision and approval by the Department’s Internal Evaluation Committee in collaboration with the Coordinating Committee of the Postgraduate Program, the Quality Assurance Unit of the University of Peloponnese and the Assembly of the Department.

The Postgraduate Program publishes its Quality Policy with:

• posting on the website of the Postgraduate Program to inform any interested party,
• post on the website of the Department of Accounting and Finance
• in the special space available for the promotion of the Postgraduate Program,
• Information of newly admitted postgraduate students during their information day.
